CAMPO DI GIOVE

Campo di Giove, 1000 m above sea level, rises at the foot of the Majella, in the middle of a large woodland area touching Sulmona.
It is a small town devoted to white and green tourism whose architecture preserves the traces of a noble and interesting past from a historical point of view. It rises in the western side of the majella and together with its mountains and woods it is an unforgettable sight for people visiting it for the first time.
Civil buildings of great monumentality, restored or under restoration, can be found in this village of fifteenth-century origin.
An artistic wooden choir of the XVII century and Palazzo Nanni which was restored in the eighteenth century are to be visited.
The future of Campo di Giove is in tourism which benefits from the ski lifts facilities and from the trips to the Majella in quest of uncontaminated places.
