INTRODACQUA

This is an old town of medieval origin which is completely surrounded by green woods and pine forests.
Even if today the historical centre of the town is almost totally abandoned, the restored tower of the castle still lies in the higher part, overlooking the houses down below and from which the walls started.
People who arrive by walking along the beautiful entry avenue can enjoy the view of the Tower standing out over the houses at the back. In the new part, the avenue winds as in a sort of ellipse which starts from the branching off in Calvario and goes on to Viale Fiume, Via Garibaldi, Piazza Cavour, Via Generale Pronio, Piazza Santa Cecilia and Viale Tripoli. The other so-called minor streets are actually rich in characteristic corners and very interesting to be seen
Some architectural monuments such as the church Chiesa Madre (1474-1510) with its rising bell tower (1600), the palace Palazzo Marchesale (1400) and the fountain Fontana Vecchia (1706) are also noteworthy.
Music and green areas: this is the binomial which better describes this town. On one hand the mountains which are easy to reach and a natural habitat of rare fauna species can be admired.
