SCANNO

scanno.jpgScanno is a town of oriental taste dear to late nineteenth-century writers who described it in their travels diary. It rises on a rocky spur between Sangro valley and the National Park of Abruzzi, looks on to a wonderful green lake of clear water rich in fish and is famous for its woman's costume which is completely different from other costumes either of Abruzzi or not. Today, this natural and folk heritage represents the substratum of a tourist resort which is well organised both for summer stays and winter sports.
